Water Rates & Policies

Currently, our water services are charged as follows:

$36.00 min. charge/billing cycle up to 3000 gallons
$4.00/additional 1000 gallons used/billing cycle
Meters are usually read the last week of the month

Beginning September 29,2023 our rates will be as follows:

0 to 4,000 gallons will be a charged a base rate of $38.00

4,100 to 10,00 gallons: an additional .50 per 100 will be charged

10,100 and above: an addtional .80 per 100 will be charged

Payments for utility services are due on the 15th of the month following the month that services were provided. If payment is not made by the 15th, a late fee of 10% will be assessed. If payment is not received before the 26th of the month, water will be disconnected. Reconnection fees are as follows: $40.00 first time in a 12 month period, $80 the second time and $125 the third and subsequent times within the same 12 month period. If you need to make payment outside of normal business hours, place your payment in the Library drop box.

Should you experience a problem with your water, please call 785-669-2425 during hours of 8am-1pm, or call 785-669-7039 after Office hours. We will do everything possible to locate the problem with your water.
